Past Time for Self Care

No, I don't have dirt flecks on my newly self polished fingers and toes! Got this wonderful flecky, glittery type nail polish at Beall's Outlet in Toccoa, GA the other day and it is the best for giving yourself a perfect polishing. Easy on and no ugly smudges around your flesh. Looks so professionally done.

Tip: When you want dark glossy black, navy, or red nail polish, go to the salon. I love saving money!

Howdy, Hello, and Hallelujah

So much time has passed since my last post. Yet, so nice to be back at this time of year and certainly into the holiday spirit! A lot has happened in the last couple of years however, I am BACK.  And, I do have a confession to address. My life has been headed toward a minimalist attitude the past couple of years. Like downsizing my home, working on owning one vehicle, not purchasing excessive fashion pieces, blah, blah, blah. I haven't made it to the ultimate minimalism mode of operation just yet but, I do believe I will get there. In the mean time, Christmas shopping this year consists of one store for my family of EIGHT and Eight is enough on the pocketbook when you shop at the Ugg Outlet in Dawsonville, GA. My justification, rationalization, whatever you would like to call it, is... We all need heavy duty footwear and we don't need frenzied shopping at a dozen different places. One stop shopping for one particular item for eight family members, that's being minimal for me. And yes, I am included in that family of eight. Happy shopping and Merry Christmas!

Summertime Living in the South

Some of my expensive jeans have gotten a bit short and shaggy with each wash. So, I have resorted to ways of the past. Have you ever cut your jeans off for summertime wear? Me too. These days they’re already distressed and roughed up for your liking so go on and snip the legs off. And, you’ve got a great summer wardrobe. We always use to get a brand new pair of rubber thongs (called flip flops these days) to wear with our shorts. Our time was spent in the creek catching crawdads, swimming at the local Boys Club, and walking the streets with our neighborhood pals. It was a great time growing up in the 50s & 60s in the South. Bless your little hearts and y’all do have a safe and happy summer!! Toodle loo...

Closet Confessional

These #NikeGolfTourPerformane shorts have, I must confess, not improved my game. But, they are cool, classic, and comfortable. And, my red #ChacoSandals are super comfy now that (sigh) after all these years I figured out at which point to loosen the straps for comfort. Yes, you can teach and older closet dresser new tricks. Have a nice day! Toodle Loo

Boots and Scarves

Boots and scarves. Two timeless ageless accessories in my fashion world. Michelle Pfeiffer, 59, obviously agrees. http://dailym.ai/2Ge4FIZi

As I have matured, I've been a bit more discrete with my fashion flare. (Don’t want to call attention to the fact, I am now OLD.) Like, I’ve stopped wearing animal print. I loved animal print back in the day but these days, it does not work (I believe) for women after 45. Sorta like mini skirts on older women...

Boots and scarves, though, are a timeless way to stay forever young in a classy sort of way. Don’t forget to put your confidence on too when you wear these items. And remember, always buy the best quality you can afford at the time. Bjorn boots and handmade woolen scarves are a must! Toodle Loo

Getting Your Style On

French twisted hairdo, simple gold and diamond earrings, handmade 100% wool scarf, cool and always expensive sunglasses, soft coral lip gloss, and a semi warm smile. These are a few of the things I love to use as I get my favorite style on.

Lady On A Double Mission...

While exercising this morning at the Hays Senior Center in North Little Rock, AR, their most very accurate weight scale hit 128. Yea! Only 8 more pounds to go. That's the first mission.

Second mission is a tad bit more IMPOSSIBLE. Been working on the Keiser System ( wonderful for OLD people, like me) for two months now, which is a weight resistance machine program that I absolutely love. Goal (dream with ACTION) is a HARD BODY.

Hummmm, beginning to think the only way to a hard body at this point in life is probably when RIGOR MORTIS sets in...will keep you informed and surely you will be waiting on the edge of your seat.
