My sweet #3 gave me some some boots for my birthday. So finally at 63 years young, I have my first pair of Australian UGGs that are really very crikey! Never did care for those traditional UGGs. You know the ones that make you look like a flat footed Bigfoot. Rather, these beautifully beige UGGs look like sleek, sophisticated, refined, and polished riding boots. I cannot wait until cool weather gets here and then again, maybe I won't. And, a big ole Hoo Roo to you, Mate!

A Heart to Heart Talk...
February is the month for hearts of all sorts! Candy hearts for giving, sweethearts for loving, cold hearts for warming, or broken hearts for healing, just to name a few. And, while we're talking heart to heart, do you know that the heart is the central and most vital part of our body, even more so that the mind! This is so because the mind is filled with ego which influences us in so many and often times negative ways, but if we use our hearts while making thoughtful decisions, we lose the ego and are often assured of correct responses or in other words, we do the right (heart felt) thing. Which directly catapults us toward the process of marriage of the heart and mind which is often similar to topsy turvy marriages between people...here's a nice link which might be helpful to understand the heart of this sensitive matter...
Soooo, whatever heart filled situation you are up to this month, why don't you spruce it up by wearing something red which actually brings me to the heart of this conversation ...Go Red For Women...in February (and hopefully all year long)! I (heart) love wearing red and I especially (heart) love helping knock out the #1 killer of women...heart disease. So go into your closets ladies and knock um dead...in your favorite LRD (little red dress) and encourage your guys to come up with some knock um dead outfit as well. And while you're at it, won't you donate a little money to your favorite American Heart Association event?? And, bless yer' heart for giving as I thank you and women all over thank you...from the bottom of our hopefully healthy hearts!

A Trip To The Arlington...
My daughter and I traveled an hour down the road and wound up at The Arlington in Hot Springs last week. We did the "Pamper Me" Spa Package and had quite a squeaky clean time! For $269 (plus tax and tips), the package for two included an overnight stay with standard room and two extra comfy beds, a spa treatment of choice for each person, a special spa gift, breakfast in the Venetian Dining Room, and one of their famous white robes to wander around in during the visit. No flashing allowed.
For our spa treatment we naturally chose the famous Hot Springs bath with 30 minute massage. If you live close to the area and don't go for a HS's bath every now and then, I'm afraid there's something terribly wrong with you. I know you have to strip down in front of the personnel, but at this age, who cares. We also chose an extra spa treatment for $130 and loved the Deluxe Signature Facial that lasted well over an hour with intense pampering on our face, hands, and feet. My lady, Jade, had worked at the 4 Seasons in Dallas for many years and was such an accomplished esthetician. Our special spa gift consisted of lotions and gels for our newly refurbished bodies. Nice.
Naturally we had to shop while in the pampering mode and found this darling little hole in the wall, C'est Bon Boutique, next door. Sandals were half price so you know what that means...two pair for sure. Also, a couple of cute tops were snared. We chose to eat lunch at Belle Arti and dinner at Rolando's. A glass of wine on the Arlington veranda, among all the hustle and bustle, sent us over the top. Then, we went to the room, took a short nap, panicked when the cable conked out (couldn't miss Big Brother) and had an early evening. Overall, the visit was really nice and the following morning, after our included breakfast, we hated to get into the car and drive back to the real world...
